WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Permanent makeup are treatments that replicate perfectly applied conventional makeup, most frequently on the brows, lash line, lips, and hairline. This is done by inserting cosmetic pigments into the dermis layer of the skin. Also known as Microblading, Micro-Pigmentation, Brow Embroidery, and Cosmetic Tattooing.
HOW LONG DOES THE RESULT LAST?
For brows, up to 18 months. For lips, one to two years. For eyeliner, three to five years. Hair color, skin type, after-care, and lifestyle also affect longevity of the results. Occasional touch-ups are a way to refresh the results. Done correctly, the treatments do not change color and fade naturally away with time. For areas such as brows, this allows future flexibility with shape, as standards of beauty change.
IS IT PAINFUL?
I use effective numbing creams that are very strong. On a scale of 1 to 10 with “1” being no discomfort, clients often experience between a 2 and 3 with the Microblading treatment. Other factors such as menstrual cycles also affect level of sensitivity.
SHOULD I SHAPE MY BROWS BEFORE MICROBLADING?
Brow shaping is part of the treatment. When you go for brow shaping maintenance after Microblading, request that your esthetician follow your existing brow shape.
CAN I DO A LASH TINT BEFORE THE EYELINER TREATMENT?
Please do any lash tinting at least two weeks before or two weeks after the treatment.
CAN I HAVE LASH EXTENSIONS DURING EYELINER TREATMENT?
No, please remove any lash extensions before treatment. Lash extensions do not allow us to properly apply pigment to the lash line, resulting in uneven eyeliner. Please also wait for two weeks until eyeliner is completely healed before applying lash extensions again.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER LIP BLUSH
Like any tattoo, swelling and redness is unavoidable. You may experience an intensified vibrancy from the pigment causing a temporary boldness to your lips. As they heal, the swelling will desist, the vibrancy will settle, and the color will restore to a natural finish.
IS THERE DOWN TIME FOR LIP BLUSH
The healing process for Lip Blush takes approximately 3-4 days. In that time you may experience some dryness and texture until the lips naturally exfoliate themselves. Aquaphor or a provided barrier cream is to be applied during the healing process.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I NEED A TOUCH UP?
The best results generally come from a two step process. Touch ups allow us to analyze how the color regenerates beneath the skin and add in areas that may have healed incorrectly. Healed results are unique to each client and we do our best to create a consistent experience. Touch ups are beneficial for layering the pigment for more saturation and must be completed within 8 weeks from the original session for the reduced price-point to be honored.
